HOW TO PLAY
The Daily Ten: ten questions, ten category marbles and one Black Marble.
Every player receives the same official question set for the calendar day. There is no difficulty toggle. ZIP, weather, birthday and horoscope settings personalize the Morning Desk but never change the scored questions.
The category marbles
Each category has a permanent marble color so it is instantly recognizable. One category turns into the Black Marble each day. That is the hardest question in the official set, regardless of category.
The question clock
Before each question, Daily Marbles shows the category, marble and official time. Press Don’t lose your marbles when ready. Only then does the question appear and the timer begin.
| Marble | Category | Official time |
|---|---|---|
| Jade | Word | 15 seconds |
| Sapphire | Language | 15 seconds |
| Amber | Math | 25 seconds |
| Violet | Science | 25 seconds |
| Aqua | World Geography | 15 seconds |
| Ruby | Literature | 15 seconds |
| Bronze | History | 15 seconds |
| Lime | Sports | 15 seconds |
| Rose | Pop Culture | 15 seconds |
| Silver | In the News | 20 seconds |
The complete answer budget is 175 seconds. Explanations, sources, transitions, the Morning Desk, Daily Horoscope and Daily Move are not part of the clock.
First answer is final
An answer records immediately. A timeout counts as incorrect, but the full explanation still appears.
Accuracy first
Correct answers determine results and Earn-Back progress. Total response time is used only as a tie-breaker.
One official attempt
Paid members receive one official Daily Ten per local calendar day. Attempts and response times are recorded centrally.
Marble Shields and referrals
Milestone Shields are earned at 25, 50, 75 and 100 qualifying days. A paid member also earns two Referral Shields immediately when a new member completes a verified purchase through that member’s invitation, up to six rewarded referrals per membership year.
A Shield preserves continuity for one eligible missed day. It never creates a completed Daily Ten, correct answer or Earn-Back qualifying day, and Shields cannot cover consecutive missed days.
