THE SAYING BEHIND THE NAME
“Lose your marbles”
An informal, humorous expression for losing clear judgment, composure or the ability to think clearly.
WHY DAILY MARBLES?
Keep the good stuff. Lose the scroll.
The precise origin of the saying is not completely settled. Figurative uses appeared in American English around the turn of the twentieth century, and one plausible explanation connects the phrase to the children’s game—where marbles were prized pieces that could be won or lost.
Daily Marbles flips the expression into a positive ritual: collect a little knowledge each day, keep your mind engaged, and close the screen before an endless feed takes over.
